Gionee Marathon M3 makes the difference with a massive 5,000mAh battery.
Some smartphones can last for a few days on a good charge but
still wouldn’t be enough to meet our demands but Gionee has unveiled the
Marathon M3 smartphone, with a standout feature being its battery which is a 5,000mAh monster, which the company
estimates can last up to 32 hours of 3G talk time and 32.8 days of stand-by. Can
you beat that?
The Marathon M3 runs on Gionee’s Amigo 2.0 UI on top Android 4.4
KitKat, has dimensions of 144.5 x 71.4 x
10.4mm and a 5" IPS LCD of 1280x720p resolution. The phone measures and weighs 180 grams, features a MediaTek
MT6582 SoC with a 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB of RAM. Internal storage is 8GB
and is expandable up to 128GB via the microSD card slot. It is also loaded with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash,
2MP front camerawhich takes care of selfies. The rrear camera offers
720p video recording.
Other features includes two SIM cards slots, FM Radio, GPS,
Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG support and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for connectivity. A device with such battery power naturally
comes at a cost as the device is now available in India for $210 (INR 12,999) in
black and white versions. If or when it will be available for sale outside
India and China is not known yet.
